Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Dressed Up Books. We operate this website and online store, including the information, content, features, products and services made available through it.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to offer and sell our products to you.

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy, govern your use of our website and any purchases made through it.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

2. Our products

Dressed Up Books sells reusable fabric book covers in different designs and sizes.

We make every effort to display and describe our products as accurately as possible. However, colours and textures may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device and display settings.

As our products are made from fabric, minor variations in pattern placement, texture or finish may occur. These variations are part of the nature of the materials and do not necessarily constitute a defect.

Product availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue products or designs at any time.

3. Orders

By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is considered accepted once payment has been successfully processed and you receive confirmation from us.

Please check your order details carefully before completing your purchase, including the product, size, delivery address and contact information.

If we are unable to fulfil an order, we will contact you using the details provided at checkout and refund any amounts already paid for the unavailable products.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including suspected fraud, payment issues, pricing errors or product unavailability, subject always to applicable law.

4. Prices and payment

All prices displayed on our website are shown in euros (€) unless otherwise indicated.

Applicable taxes are included in the displayed price where required by law. Shipping costs, where applicable, are shown separately before you complete your purchase.

The final amount payable will be displayed at checkout before the order is confirmed.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any change will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

5. Shipping and delivery

We currently ship to Portugal and selected European destinations.

Available shipping methods, costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout or described in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where mandatory consumer law establishes specific delivery rights or deadlines, those rights remain unaffected.

6. Returns and right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason.

For purchases covered by the applicable EU right of withdrawal, you may notify us of your decision to withdraw within 14 days from the day you receive your order.

After notifying us of your decision, the products must be returned within the applicable legal timeframe.

Products may be inspected in the same way you would reasonably inspect them in a physical shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

Unless otherwise stated by us, the direct cost of returning products following a change of mind is the responsibility of the customer.

Where the right of withdrawal applies, we will refund the amounts due in accordance with applicable law, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where legally required. Additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method are not refundable where permitted by law.

This section does not affect your statutory rights in relation to defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied products.

7. Defective or incorrect products

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged or different from the product you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at dub.dressedupbooks@gmail.com.

We will assess the issue and provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes the statutory rights or legal guarantees available to consumers.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including the Dressed Up Books name and branding, product designs, patterns, photographs, graphics, text and other original content, belongs to Raposa da Cidade, Dressed Up Books or their respective licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell or commercially exploit our content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Dressed Up Books is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the online store and related services.

However, purchases made through our store are made directly with Dressed Up Books. Shopify is not the seller of the products offered by Dressed Up Books.

Your use of Shopify-related services may also involve the processing of certain information by Shopify, as further explained in our Privacy Policy.

Personal information collected through our website is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
